Jalan Ampang Pedestrian Bridge
Inspired by Heritage, Built with Technology
The Jalan Ampang Pedestrian Bridge is a new urban landmark in the heart of Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC). Designed by Khairul Architects and completed in 2025, the bridge improves connectivity and safety for thousands of pedestrians crossing one of the city’s busiest roads.
Drawing inspiration from Malaysia’s Rumah Degil and kapal korek heritage, the bridge blends cultural identity with cutting-edge construction technology. Its architectural expression combines laminated glazed panels, curved aluminium cladding, natural ventilation gaps, and dynamic RGB LED lighting. By day, it reflects openness and harmony with the city. By night, it transforms into a striking illuminated landmark.
RFY delivered the project end-to-end—covering design, engineering, fabrication, supply, and installation. Our precision approach ensured seamless integration of glazing, aluminium systems, and premium surface finishes with advanced lighting features.
This project represents RFY’s commitment to sustainability, construction innovation, and our global ethos of “Building Excellence, Globally.” More than just an overpass, the Jalan Ampang Pedestrian Bridge is a symbol of connectivity, culture, and innovation—a new icon for Kuala Lumpur’s urban landscape.
